NodeQuest — learn workflow automation by playing
NodeQuest is a browser puzzle game that teaches how workflow automation works. You drag automation nodes onto a canvas and connect them to solve each quest, and every level is a real automation shape dressed as a story problem: a trigger, a transform, a branch, a loop, or a failure to recover from.
What's in it
- 38 levels — 28 story levels in Parts 1–3, plus 10 PRO levels built from real business automations (lead capture, follow-up sequences, stock and price monitoring, daily reporting, alerting).
- 40 node types across input, process, logic, output and delay — Trigger, Timer, Schedule, Webhook, Get Data, Search, If/Else, Filter, Try/Catch, Repeat, Broadcast, Combine, Transform, Send Message, Notify, Save Data and more.
- Sandbox mode — free-form building with every node unlocked.
- Real n8n export — finish a level and export the workflow as n8n JSON that imports into a real n8n instance. Import works too.
- Stars and achievements — gold, silver or bronze depending on how few moves you needed.
- Browser and Android — installable as a PWA, also shipped as a native Android app.
Concepts, in order
Part 1 (levels 1–8) covers triggers, actions and your first decision branch. Part 2 (9–18) adds data transformation and branching at scale. Part 3 (19–28) covers loops, filters, error handling and webhooks. The PRO pack applies all of it to real automations.
Price
The first 3 levels are free. The full game is a one-time purchase, processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Nothing is a subscription.
